Tindipoka..

This is my second attempt at blogging....hope this one works...
Ok this blog is for foodies...coz I am a foodie myself and hence the name "tindipoka" which means foodie in local language Kannada.

Me and my wife explore all food joints in Bangalore and will tell you more about the food joint the kind of food what to eat and what not to. It is mostly going to be about vegetarian dishes. Sorry non-veggies...

My good friend Ravi suggested that I must write atleast about one food joint I have visited to start with. So I chose to write about " Janatha Hotel, 8th Cross, Malleswaram".
It was a Sunday and we visited Janatha Hotel. After a 15 minute wait we were let in and it was like commuters getting into a bus to get their seats. Some were lucky enough and as usual we did not make much effort. So another 5 minute wait. Then we get a table for 2 with another couple on the other side of the table. All this was for sure woth it. They did not have all that was written in the menu and we had to settle for 2 Masala Dosa's and a plate of Managalore Bajji.

They probably have big tava to make Dosa's i guess. We had 2 Masala Dosa's on our table in like 3 minutes and then the bajji followed.

The Dosa's are not the best but probably the fastest. The bajji's were good but would have been better if we had them before the dosa's.

Suggestions :
Do not go on a public holiday
Ask for bajji's before dosa's
Try other stuff on menu like Savije Uppit and Shiraa..

Keep looking for updates every week....

  4. Maximum dosa sold by this hotel in that area. Price less than other hotels in that area and more or less same for many years. Sunday morning single vada sambar and one masala dosa is a breakfast for many Mallesvaram residents.

  5. Most of the time the experience is what matters most than the food itself :-) food is always more tastier when shared with someone you love.

  6. That was a good one, but you should visit Veena stores for the best Idlis and kesaribath on 15th Cross Malleswaram Margosa Road.

This is a place I will hit every time you have a new entry. Keep it going. Foodies like us will thank you. Those who are not become one!!!! ;-)

  8. Hi Prashanth,

Good. Suggest pick areas by turn and write about small and medium size restaurants. Wish you a great tasting time ahead.
Do give ratings for ambience, cleaniness, hospitality of the hotel staff, affordability and finally a route map to reach the place from a nearest prominent place.

Good article. Do not lose steam and slow down. Expecting more from you.
